Robert turned professional in 1995 but dropped off the main tour after it was reduced in size at the end of the 1996-97 season. He did, however, return the following season via the UK Tour. Throughout his career Robert has appeared in the quarter-finals of the 2008 Bahrain Championship and the semi-finals of the 2005 Irish Masters.
Robert goes into the 2010-11 season on the back of an outstanding 2009-10 season in which he won his first professional tournament, Pro Challenge 3, defeating Joe Jogia 5-3 in the final. Reaching the quarer-finals of the Grand Prix as well as the televised stages of the China Open helped to see Robert climb from number 55 to number 36 in the official World rankings.
Robert will continue working hard to try to achieve his goal of getting back into the top 32 for the first time since the 2006-07 season.
