Mark turned professional in 1991 and has been a permanent fixture on the rankings list ever since.
His first taste of tournament success came 2002 when he won the Benson and Hedges Championship, earning himself a place in the Masters.
The 2009-10 season was without doubt one of Davis' most succesful to date resulting in him breaking into the top 32 in the World rankings for the first time in his career.
It also saw Davis win his second tournament, the Six Reds World Championships in Killarney, Ireland, beating former World champion, Mark Williams, 6-3.
Having reached round two of the Grand Prix and qualifying for both the Welsh Open and the China Open, Mark rounded off a successful season with a first round victory against Ryan Day at the World Championships.
Mark is pushing hard for a place in the elite Top 16, currently ranked number 17.
