At the age of six, Kyren was taken to a charity pool event in which former World Champion, Peter Ebdon, was participating. Kyren cleared the table prompting Ebdon to notice Kyren's natural talent and advise his parents to nurture it for the future. This chance meeting resulted in Kyren setting his sights on turning professional and realising his dream of becoming a snooker player.
His dream was realised in 2010 after finishing fifth on the PIOS tour thanks to a successful campaign which included winning event six and finishing runner-up in event three.
Other achievements under Kyren's belt include winning the EASB Premier Junior Tour 08/09 and winning the Pontins under-16 event in 2005.
