In 2010, Jak won the European Under 19 Championships defeating Scotland's Anthony McGill 6-4 in the final. This victory earnt Jak an invitation to the main tour for the 2010-11 season despite being only 16 years old.
Jak also played on the PIOS last season finishing 11th in the rankings after a quarter-final appearance in event two and finishing runner-up in event four.
