On Q Promotions are a huge supporter of various charities, but particularly have a passion in supporting activities related to cancer prevention. Since 2010, On Q Promotions have organised the Pink Ribbon Snooker Pro Am, at the South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester, in an effort to raise funds and create awareness for breast cancer charities. The tournament is always very well supported by On Q Promotions players, other main tour professionals, amateur players and snooker fans for which On Q Promotions are very grateful.
Since the tournament was launched over £40,000 has been raised for breast cancer charities and the title has been won by Michael Holt (2010), Mark Joyce (2011), Stuart Bingham (2012) and On Q Promotions player Joe Perry (2013) beating fellow On Q player Barry Hawkins in the final.
Additionally, the players of On Q Promotions wear pink backed waistcoats in order to raise awareness of the importance of checking for the symtoms and early diagnosis. This has led to the On Q Promotions players being nicknamed 'The Pink Army'.
On Q Promotions players also donate their time whenever possible to visit places that care for those with cancer to witness first hand the amazing work done by so many and in an attempt to provide a distraction for those suffering.
